A book cover created as part of a school assignment in a Photoshop course. The project was about developing a cover for a book titled “Irrlicht” (will-o'-the-wisp), with creative freedom regarding the storyline.
This project stands among my most valued academic works, effectively combining cultural research interests with professional design application.
The design draws inspiration from Japanese folklore, specifically connecting the will-o'-the-wisp phenomenon with the Japanese hitodama myth (souls of the dead that appear as floating, glowing orbs).
The cover features imagery related to Japanese shrines, creating a mystical and cultural backdrop for the supernatural elements of the story.
